David Baron teams up with Donna Lewis on the haunting NEW SONG 'Bad Bad Love'

By Alex Brown - 25.6.19

David Baron continues to outdo himself with his latest single ‘Bad Bad Love’, premiered on June 20th by tmrw Magazine, featuring the divine voice of Welsh singer-songwriter Donna Lewis. Set for release on 12 July via Here and Now Recordings, ‘Bad Bad Love’ is a superb combination of organic orchestral and electronic sounds, accompanied by a flawless vocal performance from Lewis. It is a moving number that flows fluently from beginning to end, showcasing Baron’s ability with string and synth arrangements in particular. The musical composition radiates a natural warm beauty that dovetails with the voice of Donna Lewis as she communicates a unique vision of maternal intimacy.

“‘Bad Bad Love’ combines the angelic voice of Donna Lewis with a small string orchestra and analogue modular synthesizers,” Baron said on the single. “It is the mournful yearning of a mother who has been separated from her child. Achingly beautiful, heartbreaking, and appropriate for our times. The musical form is reminiscent of a canon, a repeating chord sequence of low strings that slowly blossom until taking us right back to the original question.”

The track comes hot on the heels of Baron’s previous single ‘People Of No Concern’ (feat. Lettie and Madeleine), released May 10. Baron is a producer, arranger, mixer, engineer and artist with an extensive list of credentials behind his name and an uncompromising vision of excellence. We eagerly await his next offering.
