Rich Aucoin has shared the NEW MUSIC VIDEO for his SONG ‘The Other’ lifted from his NEW ALBUM release

By Alex Brown - 10.5.19

The album is centred around concepts of morality and was influenced by a wide range of artists including David Bowie, Holly Herndon, Fatboy Slim, Björk, John Lennon, Future Islands, Caribou and Chic. Aucoin’s live shows have gained somewhat of a cult-following, and he often performs them in sync to old movies. On Release he uses the 1951 version of Alice in Wonderland as a metaphor,  and the album can be played as alternate soundtrack along to the film

The Indie Electronic musician is an active advocate for social causes, and has worked extensively for Childhood Cancer Canada, The Canadian Mental Health Association/Mental Health America, and the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation

The video makes a social statement, set in a dystopian world, featuring masked figures, ghettos, and opulence. The track itself is warm and layered - piano keys, punchy live drums, and cheeky guitar riffs.
