Gold Fields Releases Stunning NEW MUSIC VIDEO for 'Glow'

By Alex Brown - 9.5.19

Indie-electronic outfit Gold Fields have a shared a psychedelic video for ‘Glow’ released earlier this month via Haven Sounds. The track is lifted from their sophomore album Dalawa, a nod to guitarist Vin Andanar’s heritage and meaning ‘two’ in Filipino (Tagalog).

Gold Fields is Mark Robert Fuller, Vinci Andanar, Luke Peldys, Rob Clifton and Ryan D'Sylva -  originally formed in Ballarat, Victoria, and now Melbourne-based. They’ve kept a low profile for the last six years, but returning with Dalawa has delighted fans, and sees the band taking a rested and fresh approach. “Dalawa is definitely the record we wanted to make. In a way, it seemed to make itself.. It seems like we plucked the songs bit by bit from somewhere they already existed and pieced them back together into this record.” they commented.

The video for ‘Glow’ is minimalistic in nature - silhouettes of the band performing their magic against backdrops of colour. A dancer gyrates to the track while kaleidoscopic shapes abound, giving the viewer keen insight into the energy that a Gold Fields live performance surely radiates.

“The making of Dalawa was a multi-dimensional journey across early adulthood... It saw us through some big life events... some really mind opening experiences, and all during some very interesting times around the world” they said.
