Nico Cartosio Releasing Gorgeous NEW VIDEO for 'Melting'

By Alex Brown - 18.3.19

If I told you about an artist who has within less than four days achieved over 2.2 million views on a single video, a video with the highest quality cinematography as well as production value literally straight out of Abby Road Studios in London. If I told you that every previous release has been approached with this level of quality… would you imagine that the artist in question wasn’t even around just 2 years ago?

Nico Cartosio exploded onto the scene in what seems like out of the blue and already has made such an impact with his classic composing and talent for beautiful, albeit sometimes unorthodox storytelling, as presented in previous releases like ‘Christmas on the Moon’ or ‘Snow Above the Earth’.

As the artist takes inspiration from people he encounters, Cartosio explains, “A girl smiles at me, and I hear how she sounds. It is a specific tune. She frowns and instantaneously, the melody changes in my head, from a flute solo to a cello.” and this is where the new story begins as his recent release on 21 March, titled ‘Melting’ is about just such an encounter with a woman he met in Rome.

The music video for ‘Melting’ depicts Cartosio playing to an empty Roman cityscape, beckoning a sleeping beauty to wake and realise that every note he plays is for her. The connection the two make is incredibly intimate, however fleeting. The music itself inspires those same emotions. "This piece is uplifting and enables the spirit to soar. If you’re listening to it while in a relationship, it can encourage feelings of love" as said best by the composer himself.
