Today, Irish neo-soul five-piece Shookrah drop their latest imaginative and sultry single titled 'Flex' via Broken Records. Following the release on their last single “Don’t Wanna Doubt You”, Shookrah have been creating serious waves across the board receiving praise from the likes of Afropunk, CLASH Mag, Wonderland Magazine, JOE.ie, Irish Examiner, GoldenPlec and The Irish Times as well as gracing radio shows such as BBC Ulster’s Across The Line. The Irish Times named Shookrah, “Best Irish Act of 2017” as well as “50 People to Watch in 2018”, while GoldenPlec named them one of their 'Plec Picks' for 2016, propelling the talented collective further into prominence.

As far as live performances go, Shookrah have had the delight of headlining shows at Quarter Block Party, Wigwam and K-Fest as well as supporting and playing alongside legendary musicians Billy Ocean and Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck) on their Irish tours. Although the collective of Shookrah all currently reside in Cork, Ireland, the quintet originate from a variety of different cities and countries, including Kerry, Dublin and even South Africa.

Shookrah's latest single was recorded with Brendan Fennessy (O Emperor), mixed by Michael Heffernan, produced by Emmet O’Riabhaigh and Diarmait Mac Cárthaigh of Shookrah, and mastered by the prolific April Golden.
