Róisín Murphy releases 2 new tracks including the disco-inspired ‘Jacuzzi Roller Coaster Ft Ali Love’

By Alex Brown - 17.9.18

Róisín Murphy is known for her genre-bending music, refusing to confine herself to the norms of most of the music of today. She recently shared two brand new tracks entitled ‘Jacuzzi Roller Coaster’ featuring vocal work from Ali Love, along with the B-side, ‘Can’t Hang On’ via Vinyl Factory.

Both songs drip with her signature Murphy style. ‘Jacuzzi Roller Coaster’ is a funk-inspired disco song that will take you on a guitar and synth filled journey for almost 7 minutes.
‘Can’t Hang On’ is more upbeat and dance-worthy and is a perfect way to end this new double release of hers.

On the two new tracks, Róisín Murphy commented: “I love Ali Love's voice, he's got the boogie in him, he's an exceptional hook writer also.  I've been hoping to work with him for a long time and this Maurice Fulton music just seemed the perfect match. The baseline in this track is highly evocative and Ali already had the title when he came to the studio, he had just been reading about a 'Jacuzzi Rollercoaster' being built in Japan and it was a notion that fit the funk of the track perfectly, we wrote the song and put the vocals down in a few hours, we're a match made in heaven!’’
She’s had an incredible summer behind her touring across Europe as well as headlining the iconic Somerset House as part of their Summer Series
