Evil Needle is flying at the speed of sound with latest single ‘Subsonic’

By Alex Brown - 29.9.17

Evil Needle got into production as a child after receiving a beat making program, later djing on vinyl when he knew producing was his destined profession.  The Wu Tang Clan was the ‘soundtrack to his childhood’ and it’s this deep influence of 90’s hip hop that paved the way for his own unique sound.

Evil Needle made a name through his collaborations with Troiboy, Mo Vibez, Sivey, Elaquent, Freddie, Doja Cat and Naji and received great support from Red Bull, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1xtra's Jamz Supernova, DJ Target and BBC Radio 3's Late Junction. Boasting his signature flair for powerful drums, Evil Needle has played at venues such as Jazzcafe and Camden Assembly in London, Nuits Fauves in Paris, Razzmatazz in Spain and Cakeshop in Korea.

The France-based producer is due to release his Abyssal LP come 29 September on HW&W Records. A compacted summary, Abyssal takes you to the core of the various genres he has delved in over the past 10 years. Delivering to everyone’s tastes, the prolific producer brings well refined atmospheric snare claps and dance synths as with his latest cut ‘Subsonic’ that he shares off the LP.

He ends off his 2017 tour in France on 31 October after pit stops in South Africa, Thailand, China, Germany and the Netherlands.
