Blanck Mass shares video for ‘The Rat’ + tour dates

By Alex Brown - 20.7.17

‘The Rat’ is taken from Benjamin John Power’s recently released third solo album, World Eater, out now on Sacred Bones. The album has already garnered attention with tastemaker publications such as Pitchfork, Stereogum, Spin and Resident Advisor.“The title is a reference to both the inner beast inside human beings that when grouped en-masse stops us from moving forward towards good,” says Power.

The video takes us on a nightmarish trip through the dark underbelly of a fairground, stopping through dancing doll towns, merry-go-rounds and warped maggot flashbacks. Filmed on a family vacation, the video “represents discontent within a capitalist regime and a world full of sugar-coated sh*t." says Power.
